FAQ — Free Blood Pressure Checks at John & Jack Pharmacy
Do I need an appointment?
Nope. You can walk in anytime we’re open — no booking required.
Is the blood pressure check really free?
Yes — it’s a complimentary service for everyone in our community.
How often should I check my blood pressure?
It depends on your medications and health history. We’ll offer general guidance, but your doctor can set the ideal schedule.
Can you explain my numbers?
Always. We’ll explain your systolic and diastolic readings in plain language so you understand what they mean.
Should I do anything before coming in?
For the most accurate reading, try to avoid caffeine, tobacco, or exercise for 30 minutes before your visit. We’ll also ask you to sit and rest for a few minutes before we start.
Will you write the numbers down for my doctor?
Yes. We can provide a tracking card for you to keep. Bringing a log of your readings to your family doctor is often more helpful to them than a single reading in their office.
What happens if my reading is high?
We won’t just let you leave. We can review your medications, re-test after you’ve rested, or advise if you need to see a doctor urgently.
